COVID-19 Resources Available for Pearland Businesses

 PEARLAND, Texas — The Board of Directors and staff at Pearland Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) recognize the seriousness of the COVID-19 virus and the impact that it will have on our community.  Emergency measures – while critical to slowing the spread of COVID-19 – are having a major economic impact on individuals, businesses, and these impacts will be felt for months to come.  Our Pearland businesses are vital to our community’s economy and are committed to providing information on programs from state and local resources as they become available.

Currently information on the CDC’s interim guidance for businesses and employers, SBA Disaster Assistance Loans, the deferment of the federal income tax filing date, federal tax credits for required paid leave, the Texas Workforce Commission’s Shared Work Program, and local public health resources is available on our website.

We are working in partnership with local organizations including the Pearland Chamber of Commerce and San Jacinto Small Business Development Center.  As additional federal and state government resources become available in the future, we will update this information on the COVID-19 page on pearlandedc.com.
