Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) recently completed phase 1 of construction on a new medical complex in Pearland located at the southwest corner of Shadow Creek Parkway and Texas 288. The complex now features a 78,000-square-foot medical office building for the Pearland Emergency Care Center, and the Pearland Medical Imaging Center, which opened in July 2006. 

HCA has also announced a hospital project to commence in 2008.

Memorial Hermann Affiliated Hospitals & Medical Centers________________________

Memorial Hermann’s Outpatient Imaging Center in Pearland conveniently offers the highest quality, routine health screening procedures in a friendly, expert environment.

Memorial Hermann also opened a 70,000-square-foot medical office building and ambulatory surgery center on a 25-acre site at State Highway 288 and Broadway (FM 518).  Features include four operating rooms, two endoscopy procedure rooms, physician office space and an imaging center that offers MRIs, CTs, mammograms, X-rays and ultrasounds.  The facility's design provides convenient drive-up and parking access to the first-floor surgery and imaging centers.

Apex Hospital is scheduled to open in November 2008____________________________

Apex Hospital will be a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital and will provide care to patients requiring long term hospitalization. It will initially consist of 80 beds including 16 ICU rooms and will be accessible to a large number of physicians in various branches of medicine.
