Groundbreaking for Ref-Chem L.P.'s New Office Facility in Pearland

PEARLAND, Texas — Ref-Chem, L.P., along with leadership from the City of Pearland and the Pearland Economic Development Corporation, kicked off construction yesterday at a groundbreaking ceremony and luncheon for the engineering, construction, and maintenance firm’s new office building in Pearland.

“I am excited to celebrate in the groundbreaking of Ref-Chem’s new facility in our community,” said Pearland Mayor Tom Reid.  “Our outstanding quality of life and business-friendly leadership continues to attract companies to Pearland and Ref-Chem’s selection of our community is an indication of our endeavors to work with these businesses to generate investment and employment opportunities for the area.”

Ref-Chem’s new office building will be located on an 11-acre site at Beltway 8 and Tom Bass Parkway. The three-story facility will be 39,000 square feet with space for a staff of approximately 100 employees, including management personnel, engineers, designers and administrative staff. KE Group developed the facility’s architecture designs and the project’s general contractor is Pinnacle Construction. 

“Today is the start of a long term partnership between Pearland and Ref-Chem,” said PEDC Chairman, Charles Gooden Jr. “Currently the second fastest growing city in Texas and the 15th fastest growing in the nation, Pearland is an innovative and business friendly community that has Ref-Chem’s success as a top priority.”

Ref-Chem L.P.is an Odessa-based heavy industrial construction, engineering, EPC and maintenance organization with an annual sales volume of over $100 million.  Established in 1957, Ref-Chem provides services to the following sectors: petrochemical, chemical, oil and gas, refining, air separation, minerals processing, power, cement and manufacturing.
